EMERGENCY CARE

South Waikato Veterinary Services has 24 hour emergency care available. There is always a veterinarian on call to attend to any emergencies that occur after-hours.

Some of the situations we commonly deal with after hours include:

  1. Trauma - such as pets hit by cars, or attacked by other animals

  2. Acute Illness - vomiting, poisonings, seizures

  3. Pig Dogs - during hunting season, dogs with rips are common

  4. Blocked cats - male cats with blocked bladders need emergency treatment to relieve the blockage

  5. C-Sections - some dogs have problems whelping and need intervention

Of course we deal with these things during work hours too!
