Here at SWVS we strive to provide high quality care for your companion animals, no matter what the species or size. There always is a vet available in our Tokoroa clinic during working hours who is committed to small animal consults and surgery. Rochelle and Rebecca are our senior small animal veterinarians, and either of them will be based in the clinic each week. You may meet another of our vets in consult or over the phone, but rest assured your pet will be well cared for.

During opening hours on Saturday morning, you will meet the vet who is on call for that particular weekend.

Got an after hours emergency? Just call our phone number and it will be diverted to the vet who is currently on call. All our vets are well equipped to handle emergencies, and can give advice over the phone as to whether you need to come in immediately or are able to wait until Monday for a consult.

The clinic is set up for consulting, surgeries, medical treatments and isolating contagious animals. Any treatments needed that we are unable to provide, such as more complicated orthopaedic surgeries or advanced ultrasound imaging can be organised with one of our referral veterinarians, either in Matamata or Hamilton. For any complex cases, our vets either confer with each other or are more than willing to seek second opinions from specialists who are just a phone call away.

Click any of the tabs to the left to navigate to information on that subject. Some explain services we offer here, and when to seek these services. Others are intended as useful information to read when you need it.
